During this workshop, Dean Anderson of Polk County, Oregon discussed the ways in which the ORMAP organization has implemented a series of Tasks and Attribute Rules to support the cartographic editing to create their Tax Maps.
Dean is currently an IT Special Project Manager for Polk County, Oregon where he is helping the County transition the current tax mapping system from ArcMap to ArcPro/Fabric. Dean also coordinates the ORMAP statewide digital cadastral base mapping tools group. Dean has over 40 years experience in the IT Industry and has experience in private, state, and local government and has been an ESRI Regional Manager, IT Director, Public Works Director, Private Contractor, Survey Division Supervisor, Health Services Finance Supervisor, and Research analyst.
Dean provided a quick overview of the ORMAP project, and how ArcPro tasks and rules are being used to support cadastral base mapping efforts. Dean also reviewed how the ORMAP tools are being extended by Counties to meet specific County needs by presenting the current process for managing transactions currently under development.
This was a great demonstration of how to use ArcGIS Pro functionality to bring your workflows to a new level and will discuss Tasks, Annotation and Attribute Rules.
